So. Fracas wants to raise the heat, eh? He wants to increase his power with fire beyond what his trainers allowed, EH? How shall he go about this? Consult someone? Explore? Research at the Ranger's library?

Fracas isnt much for research, so he will most likely ask Firebrand about it. Failing that, he will use his Ki Arcanism to explore and try to find the answers.

Fracas has to go through hell, calling Fred, then Hiei, then Fred again, finally going to a hole in the wall bar. Standing slightly above everyone in the bar, you can see a lot of dumb, drunk guys playing ping pong against Firebrand. The umpteenth one loses. Firebrand looks at Fracas and says, "My erstwhile pupil! Take a paddle. What do you need?"

Fracas cant help but chuckle a little as he wrestles the ping pong paddle out of the next guy in line. These drunks were sure in for quite a show. Getting himself in the ready position, "I am on a quest of sorts. Your training has been most influencial to me, as I find myself dreaming more and more of fire. But I want to go beyond my limits. I came to ask you if you could help me aquire true power with Fire."

Firebrand starts with a simply massive power lineserve, Legendary level (he's going light at first). "Flame is a fickle mistress. It burns you. I know you like pain and fighting, but are you sure you want to affiliate yourself with it? Your technique is already so amazing."

Smashing the ball with equal power, Fracas returns with a backhand to the far left corner. "Why is it that we often strive for what hurts us the most? Because there is power in that which we fear, that which burns without a purpose other than to blaze. I am not afraid of what that Flame, and that is why I feel it calling to me."

Firebrand's left wing cocks far back as his arm hides under it, and at the last moment, he places the paddle into the wing and sends the ball back. This time, the ball is visible, but as a cloud of similar balls, each slightly less "real" looking, and as Fracas looks at the ball, it becomes impossible to determine either its velocity or its position. The gargoyle says, "All right, let's stop the jive talk. You've got a few options. There's various nasty things out there that you can pact with, but at your power they're few and far between and pretty dishonorable. There are spirits who are fairly much the same thing, but what they ask you to do or require you to battle is a lot less unpalatable. Then there's always various ways in which you, temporarily or not, unlearn all your former powers in favor of new ones. You could always sacrifice something else for it, or change something; perhaps alter your natural combat skill to be fire-based, somehow. Quest for ancient masters, seek out technology that might boost your power, maybe cybernetics or a special symbiote - those Splugorth are unfortunately still in business... You get the idea. And there just might be relevant quests at the Ranger station."
He then says, "Hmm. You are pretty good at Quicksilver Flame. Accelerate fast enough somehow and you might get new affinity with it."

Fracas quickly and powerfully sucks the air around the ping pong table, thus sucking all the ping pong balls into his mouth. Chewing on them thoughtfully, he turns to Firebrand. "Teacher, you have just given me an idea." Bowing respectfullyl, Fracas turns and leaves.
The idea is this: Get Mica and Mauler to help. Mica can boost his speed stats and channel energy into his legs. Mauler can create a version of his alter boots for Fracas to wear. With that, Fracas is going to use Quicksilver Flame to attempt to accelerate as fast as he can, use grapple with reality to "grapple" himself forward, and use a supermassive blackhole that Mica summons as a slingshot. All in hopes of a better understanding of Flame!

Firebrand approves of this message! (Or, rather, tactic for dealing with a quantum cloud of ping pong balls by collapsing the quantum wave into Fracas'... mouth).
A long landing pad will be needed. Spira's SCGA could be a great place to do so uninterrupted; alternatively, the group could go into intergalactic space.

I think the SCGA might work. Intergalactic space might have adverse affects on other worlds. Supermassive blackholes and beings traveling at high speeds tend to that You know, summoning two blackholes might put his motion in an ever quicker and quicker "8" loop. Hmm.. I wonder what would happen if instead of energy, Fracas went through Mica's Infinite Energy Generator?

With KJ Roll training, it is actually possible...

Well lets do it! In fact, lets do both! Use the blackholes as slingshots and then shoot Fracas into the Energy Generator! Good god... I am scared to know how fast he is going to be traveling

Still less horrendous than Jin, Ominai or Spira's top speeds... Fracas quickly loses his perspective. Not only is his equilibrium temporarily totally eliminated, but reality itself is on the fritz, warping at the edges, "tunnels" of reality stemming off in a honey comb of directions. By the time Mica and Mauler see him flying into a massive red portal, Fracas has blacked out. He awakes with a sensation similar to having an elephant sitting on him.

Fracas's eyes jolt open. "Hot damn lets do that again!" Igniting his hand on fire, he contemplates the sensation.
So, how did it turn out?

Much different from anticipated. Fracas is laying on a sun-baked clay ground. The sky above seems like the corona of a star: Endless plumes of bright yellow flame.

"Wow... Where am I?" Fracas is going to scan the area. At the same time in the back of his mind, Fracas wonders if this is where he should be. Deciding to risk it, Fracas opens his body to the energy around him to see what happens.

Fracas' scans show up nothing familiar, but his intuitive senses are... comfortable. This area he's in is close to the elemental plane of fire, but nonetheless remains impinging on the Material Plane. He could indeed fly home from here if he so chose, though it would be quite some time.
When Fracas opens his body to the energy around him, swaths of flame strike and swirl. At that moment, he sees three incoming spheres of flame, their tails trailing off like comets! His danger sense indicates no danger, however, and their trajectories indicate they're going to land close rather than on top of him.

Fracas is going to attempt to discern the makeup of the spheres and compare their makeup to any known entities. Other than that, he will wait for their arrival in a relaxed posture.

None of the entities match his Kusenagi-created databanks. But as the flame unfolds, Fracas recognizes all three. One is a Larhold Shaman known for being possibly the most prodigious Blue Flame shaman to have been born in recent years. As he stands, his savage bull-like features are obscured by a halo of blue flame that coalesce from his eyes and his belly. Another is an azer known for specializing in the concussive elements of flame, launching shockwaves and pulses that can shock and stun sapient enemies while battering down fortifications and constructs. The third is a minor foe of a team that was disqualified from the Dark Tournament before even arriving (thanks to losing barely on the ship to Paradigm, primarily the corrupted Stormguard). The azer and the shaman are closely matched, but even in combination Fracas is confident he could defeat both.
As the flame unfurls, they seem to stare deeply at him.

Fracas stares back for a moment, contemplating their presence. "I seek a better understanding of Flame. In my search I have come across this place. How have you come here, fellow Flame masters?"

The shaman speaks in a hoarse tone, as if constantly gargling fire. "This is the Edge of Flame. Here, the Searing Expansion forms an alliance. Unlike the power of water and cold, the universe is biased against us... Heat will eventually die... We seek to fight that."

So! Three things to do.
1) Battle the Burning Legion and/or other apocalyptic forces. 2) Attune oneself to the Edge of Flame. This requires going through a twisted skein of fire. 3) Battle the Entropy Mountain and the things there. Figure out what's up with it.

Well, Fracas has a bone to pick with the Burning Legion ever since he tried (and failed) to pick up and throw an Infernal in the Wargame Room.

Intriguing. (Different kind of Infernal, though.) Despite being heavily beaten back, the Burning Legion still has control of or is waging war against several planets. They've also reestablished a hold on Draenor.
