...The aura's primary effect is getting your ass kicked repeatedly. And all Mace can do is teleport since this is a parry AFTER a parry.

Alright, Mace will teleport over to the lake with the crystal eel and use the Nexus Effect to cause a large, magical explosion around Dame, if he can target that far with it.

Mace does eventually teleport, but he does not teleport to the lake. He instead appears in the grass. When he turns about to find Dame again, he cannot find her. (The parry was for a non-offensive action, anyways. What will he use it for instead?) [FN: MTrn Dame 297].

Mace will use his Nexus Effect to generate a field requiring one to know how to Walk in Crystal to move without hindrance. He'll use this to greatly slow her down if he can.

What does Walk in Crystal mean? Cantomantic terminology?

It's a skill/ability. It's like the training you do so that you can fight in sand without hindrance, or, underwater. Mace would learn, from his training with Boaz, how to move through crystals and not be slowed down. So Dame should be feeling like she's got weights hanging off every milimeter of her, and slogging through thick, hardening mud.

...But does it literally mean that you can move through CRYSTALS in particular? Or maybe broader earth/rock/stone?

Crystals in particular, though there would be other training styles covering different material.

The field gets projected. The Dame simply seems to smile... and the crystals move aside. As if to underscore the point, as she rounds about for another devastating assault, Mace gets a spire of rock slammed into his back, sending him into her for a punch into the ground! Dame then breathes inwards, sending a rush of freezing breath at Mace, slowing him down and damaging him severely. [FN: Brth 291/297]. Dame has a brief moment of being open due to her many actions.
