- Name: Staccato Graywinters (similar name pattern as Legato Bluesummers), or Staccato the Razorsense - Race: I...sort of want to say superhuman, or mutant maybe, otherwise, human - Age: 7 - Notes: Staccato's ability (extreme sense--sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste) causes her so much pain that she can just barely stand a butterfly landing--but she can reverse her senses to cause horrendous pain within another person--enough to make one lose a certain sense that she involuntarily chooses. - Disposition: Anti-social. Her voice is often monotone; her expression blank—as it hurts her to smile or frown. She hates people her own age, having lived in an orphanage with children that constantly beat her due to her odd "problem". Her ability tends to be abused only when she is severely angered or frightened--sometimes even greatly saddened. On occasion, she becomes attached to those with enough power to dwindle down hers--to suppress the power and reduce the pain that she lives with every day--such as Millions Knives or Legato Bluesummers. - Appearance: She's very small--especially with the large clothes she wears. Her hair covers most of her eyes, straight until her shoulders, where it flips out straight. She's incredibly plain--a very easy person to miss, even in small crowds. Her expression (if any) is normally that of disposition; often looking like that of not caring nor concerned--for feelings of worry or fear could cause her pain, or give her a major headache. - Eye Color: Dark gray, many times very dull from her lack of expression - Hair Color: Shiny silver, though it tends to be darker, as she's not afraid to get dirty - Distinguishing Marks: She has some very long lasting wounds if she hurts herself--bruises and scraps on her arms or legs for the most part - Height: 3'5'' - Weight: 68 lbs. - History: She's not really sure what exactly happened to her parents, if she had any that cared--all she remembers is the orphanage and the horrible children. After that though, her discovery by Knives and Legato sends her into the world of the Gung-Ho Guns and Knives' philosophy of "killing the spiders to save the butterflies". After the collapse of the Gung-Ho gang and Legato's death (when it happened) Staccato fell into a comatose state--one where she could not do anything with her senses, yet she could still move after Knives in such a state as a hollow shell of a follower. She fell out of it once discovered that Legato survived through his coffin. - Family/Contacts/Friends: None, only the Gung-Ho Guns are of any friendly relationship to her. - Geography: Born on the planet Trigun is set on - School/Childhood: Orphanage, learning nothing but the pain of being a victim and a freak - Property: The Gung-Ho Guns used to actually live in a gigantic garage (or, that's what my imagination told me), where there were separate rooms, facilities, etc. She has her own room--received once she felt she could survive the night not hiding behind Knives or Legato. - Quirks: She doesn’t have any quirk really, except for taking a liking (or obsession) to melted ice cream thanks to Legato. - Ethnics: Knives' mantra "Kill the spider to save the butterfly" is what she's used to hearing. If she sees them, she actually goes out of her way to kill real spiders. - Preferences: She adores silence—can just barely stand anything else. She likes weapons—but can only tell what it is when she looks at it. She hates music, but isn’t opposed to very, very light humming. - Possessions: As creepy as it is, she carries Legato’s original arm—the one he tore off to replace it with Vash the Stampede’s. Other than that (since she keeps it preserved in a tank), she has a Kuroneko plushie.
I still have issues with all the other stuff >___________> Butttttt, this is Staccato!

So you're a super-sense character. Anything else innately, or what might the abilities spread out to be?
Human Mutant is fine for the Race.
The directions as always:
*Come up with an initial sketch of the character concept, including -Ethical Archetype -Hobbies -History -Physical description -Disposition -Quirks -Family members and friends -Resources, contacts and interests *Determine your Race (Races are listed, in part, in Rifts, FB and CotG sections; in addition, any race can be converted or created): Races give starting Affinities, Attributes, Rank Boosts (that which are used to raise attributes) and Class Points *Determine Traits (see the Traits thread: generally, things that set the person aside from others, such as unique genetic abilities, supersoldier training, insanities, behavioral quirks or defects, etc.) In your case, your Trait Points can add up to 5, instead of the normal 0. You automatically add Red Mage (10), Martial Artist (10), Veneficium Secutor (5), Dragon Thief (5), Thrash Ahmoqa (5), White Witch (5) and Paladin (5) because those are the Communal Classes. *Determine Classes (a certain amount of Class Points from your race plus 70 from past experience since you are coming into a high power campaign; Classes are listed in both the Class List and Classes threads under Rules). Class Points should end up totalling 200-300 CPs. *Choose 10 trainers from the Old Guard (i.e. anyone from pretty much any continuity, from Worf to Raistlin to D'rrizt) *From the trainers, classes, etc. determine your Skills and Merits (Merits are basically Feats, Skills are enumerated as %s), as well as Affinities (Ki, Magic, Psi, Tech). Skill %s should end up adding to 30,000%, 725% is the max in any one skill (and only in rare cases: limit of five skills at the most and only at my approval). A good rule of thumb for Merits is 5 Forbidden 2/Transgressive, 20 Forbidden, 50 Legendary and 100 Normal. *You are given 20 million GP (equivalent of 2 billion dollars) from Crashing Heavens funds to buy equipment, Rank Boosts/Class Points (100,000 per Rank Boost or Class Point), Affinities (100,000 per 10 points - this is explained in more detail in the rules section), etc. *After determing trainers, classes, etc. determine abilities. You get 1 Forbiddens (Forbiddens being abilities like Meganuke, Ultima 2, etc.) per 1.5 Class Points, 5 Forbidden 2s from your unique ability set (Forbidden 2s are abilities the next exponential level up, abilities like Jin's Chronanova which uses raw speed to create an area of non-existence and launches it as a physical attack at foes), and 1 F2 from each trainer. In addition, some Traits will provide in the neighborhood of 5-15 Fs and sometimes an F2, and CH PCs receive the Communal Abilities plus 10 Martial Arts Forbiddens and 10 Forbiddens per elemental spirit (in this case, Dryad and Salamando) *See Group Resources and add what is listed there at the bottom. In particular, those are: -Job Gem and Tome Classes -Transformation from the Energon Disc (one bestial, one mechanical) -3 alchemical conctions, F2 power -Dark-Light Path -Various Communal Abilities, Merits, Skills, etc. In the case of Communal Skills, if you have the Skill in question, reimburse yourself the amount given by Communals. I.e. PC Bob was planned to have Shotgun 700%. The team's skills include Shotgun at 300%. PC Bob spends only 400% on the Shotgun skill total and thus gets 300% extra to spend. - *Finish the character concept, history, etc. now that you have all of your current statistics fleshed out. That should include: -Zodiac Sign -Blood Type (if applicable) -Personal Totem -Patron God (if any) -Crashing Heavens Room -Crashing Heavens Code Name -The Guardian Force and Magicite you've chosen from the team -Your relations to any other CH NPC or PC and any Apprentices you'd like to have

So far, she gave the vast majority of her money to the Children's Hospital... Would Knives count as a Patron God to her? Hahaha! :3 Dude, Forbiddens seem sort of hard for her That or I'm just not thinking hard enough.

So 0 GP from the team left? And what kind of money do you think she herself would come with? Might she be Penniless (-1 Negative Trait)?
Well, no, but you can note that she feels devotion and attachment to a very godlike figure.
Come on! From Knives and Legato training, you have masterful gunplay and psionic abilities. From those two skill sets alone come dozens of trick shots, abilities with guns, Merits, etc., and dozens of mentalic attacks and sub-skills. Sensory powers also can be vital: Inverting foes' senses, switching them randomly, distributing Keen and perceptions among enemy parties, etc. for the offensive components; things like Trueshot Aura (add more damage, especially to ranged attacks), Vulnerability Sense, etc. for your end. At Forbidden levels, you can do anything: Use your keen sense of pain to blast sheer agony at people!
The show indicates that the GHGs actually were in different areas: Monev, for example, trained alone in some kind of basement for decades. But they obviously did convene at some points, since they all knew each other. Being an apprentice GHG not sent after Vash to die as one of Knives' puppets, she would indeed have been around a number of talented individuals. E.G. Mine bragging about his mines, for example. That's another source of Equipment, Skills, Trainers and Abilities.

She herself would probably come with...not too much--she isn't exactly penniless, but she didn't have a great need for it with Knives or Legato.
...Could she have a Magic Bullet Forbidden? Like the reference to the crazy theory made of JFK's assassination?
If so, whoo! One!
That'd be interesting, if Staccato worked with mines.
...Flying mines XD

Hmmmmmm, don't think that's a Negative then, except as part of a broader Negative of Torture and Trauma from Knives and Legato. Did she move directly from the GHGs to CH? Because if there was an interim, she may have made money, say by pursuing bounties.
She sure could, especially given her hyper-sensitivity to objects and thus high probability of ricochets.
First of all, E.G. Mine's "mines" are not mines at all. They are two circular spike projectors on his body that double both as defense and cover and as an offensive weapon with 100% radial attack capacity. Second, that's by far the only unique weapons the GHGs used: Midvalley's saxophone, Leonof's puppets, Hoppered's bullet shield, the Punishers used by Chapel/Wolfwood's organization, Rai Dei's gun-scabbard, Monev's miniguns/giant minigun/missiles, etc. were all quite unique and stylized.
Why don't we start where the character undoubtedly will have a large advantage: Skills?

...Flying spikes then ._. Sorry.
Do I use the same website as you gave me for Xexilia, or just be creative right now with the GHG members?

Both. Just note that its a good idea to get an exemplar of any weapon skill you purchase. Let's do trainers for shits and giggles too: I assume just a GHG cross section, try to get them all and get the HUGE GHG group trainer bonus?
