Jin and Jin (Keith)

I thought it appropriate to play out, simultaneously, Jin the Wind Master and Jin the Samurai's training of Mosho. There's a good thematic reason I have.

Who is Jin the Wind master?

Well, gee, this is a nice time to meet one of your trainers, eh?

www.pojo.com/yuyu/attackpics/tornadofist.gif is Jin performing the fabled Tornado Fist, one of the moves he added to Mosho's repertoire, wherein one spins one's hand very quickly combined with using wind control to form a vacuum of incredible hardness and destructive power. (One of its weaknesses is that it can trap incoming projectiles and direct them directly into the target, but Jin managed to dispel that, and one can use further wind control to even redirect the projectile!) Jin also can create a powerful tornado shield, and since all attacks have to pass through air to get through him, his defense is very powerful. On the ground he is fast and has excellent defense interspersed with occasional kicks or punches. His flight is fast and dangerous, and he also learns to add electric effects to it.

To quote Pojo's character description: "Jin is a master of wind with a care-free attitude. His jokes and whimsical spirit bond with Yusuke, as the two of them, though opponents become friends, of a sort. However, Jin will not allow Yusuke's friendship to cloud his devotion to winning the Dark Tournament." (He also speaks with a thick Irish accent.)

As Mosho comes up to the cliff where he was to meet Jin, he sees below him a calamitous fall, clouds and clouds and blowing wind and nothing else. The cliff shatters below him very suddenly. As he falls precipitously, thinking to himself that panda rarely fly, he sees a red-haired short creature falling with him, eyes closed in glee. "The wind is scary, lad. It blows around you and carries sound that gives ya a bag of sick. You cannae see anythin' around ya and it carries you far and away and you don't know when it's gonna stop."

Meanwhile, Mosho arrives at a tavern. A gaunt Japanese man with ovaloid glasses. He sips steaming hot saké slowly and awaits Mosho's sitting down.

Mosho's gonna sit down on his knees (in Japanese fashion) and offer the man a fine Cigar after he bows low.

And to the Wind Master?

I offer no cigar, don't want to pollute his wind. But I bow still the same.

Bow while plummeting to your doom in mid-air?

[miskah]

Yes.

Jin the Samurai shakes his head. "I am not interested."

Jin the Wind Master smiles. "There's a nasty fall comin' up, there, and you'll be bollixed if you dinnae find a way to get ouf the way."

[miskah]

Um...etherealize?

The landscape becomes ethereal to match, as does the wind.

Use Sands of Time to create an incredibly high sand accretion. I'm talking about centuries worth there. To block the fall.

This is Mosho, not Furax, and colliding into sand doesn't sound like my idea of a good time.

That was a diversion tactic....Mosho's gonna use Composite Control and Discharging FnK.

When he sees ground. Which he isn't. It's just an endless freefall with occasionally close ones by mountains.

Jin eagerly flies around at the speed of light squared, or 34,596,000,000 miles per second (186,000 times FTL), crashing through mountains and soaring high up above the landscape. "Never let the mundane shackle your soul lad, your spirit should always soar."

Meanwhile, Jin the Samurai awaits Mosho's drinking the saké. "To be a swordsman requires constant vigilance."

*Sip the sake wary of attack*

......I dunno, make attempt to fly ?

As Mosho sips the sake, he begins to feel quite tingly... then paralyzed. Jin continues sipping. "It is not about thinking. It is not about feeling. It is about knowing. You will have many opportunities to kill me. Many of them you will think are appropriate. Even more you will want to utilize. Only one will actually be. When you land a blow that would kill me, you will have achieved mujushin kenjutsu."

Mosho feels the ebullience natural to him and begins soaring in the air. Jin smiles, his demonic teeth showing. "That's right, lad! When you get to be a head d'ball like me, ye'll have some real fun in the air! Now, try to catch me!"

Pretend to contemplate what Jin said, then strike at him about 7 seconds later.

Chase that bastard! And drink!

[Frederic Bourgault-Christie]

When Mosho moves to punch, he finds that his arm simply refuses to move. Jin simply sits there and watches, as Mosho finally gets his punch ready and throws it, missing wildly. "That is the Poison of the White Widow. I do not normally use it, but it indicates a point."

Mosho kicks back some liquor and continues to ride the wind. Jin's raw speed dwarves him. "Come on, ya little lady! Yer letting the Ogre Killer get to your brain!"

Was the point how futile my attempt was?

Let loose a huge belch and focus on speeding up.

[Frederic Bourgault-Christie]

No.

The focusing actually reduces Mosho's speed. The point is to free himself of inhibitions, fear, caution, and throw himself to the wind.

[miskah]

Ponder it.

Think about wanderlust, the desire to just go wherever the wind takes me...

"Never let your guard down." Jin gets up and says, "Find me." He then walks out. Mosho is paralyzed until Jin is out of the building, but then regains motion.

Walk outside and use composite control to dissolve anything non-mammal.

Again, doing that sort of stuff to a town is a good way to get you put into jail by the Rangers.

Walk to the nearest stream and stand there idly, gazing into the water....

You can try hot pursuit. When Mosho walks out, sandal and bare foot tracks are everywhere, leading both to and from the building. In front of the inn is a mask shop, the rest of the buildings being private homesteads. There is also a street vendor down to your left.
