Hack has rightly pointed out that an easy way to begin the team's creation of a unified Chimera is to kill creatures to give it components. Luckily, Mac and the other information folks have located three great monsters! No
Tauric Destroyer:The creature that is slated as the base of the team's weapons and rest of the body, the Tauric Destroyer is in a great subterreanean area in Hael.
Hydric Monstrosity:A whole planet's development of sentient life and a stable ecosystem has been stopped by a hydra with thousands of heads. This would provide the mystical component as well as be the source of the place where individuals' powers could be put in.
Neuric Dominator:This strange brain-like meteor moves through space, absorbing intellects and processing it during dormant periods. There is a rare moment now where a particularly powerful one is coming active and could now be attacked. This would provide the intellectual component.

The main danger with the Neuric Dominator is to find someone who can shield the team from psychic attacks. Sarashito isn't too bad, and neither is Anduris (especially if he takes Group Mind Block IV). This may require finding a new mind block specialist NPC to be safe. Alternatively, one can just jump in and bring along as many good psychics as the team can find...

That works too, though it's not always psychic.

i figured that it would have some magic and possibly ki abilities, but the illithid would at least limit it's arsenal

So what's the initial plan? Dreadnaught, Benefactor and BW split, or just dreadnaught, or...?

Dreadnaught, Shi, BW and Benefactor, speaking of which dose shi have the EVA five minture limit on fuel, cause i thought i had a better engine in her from the start

No, it doesn't. Now: Formations, planned tactics, relevant passives/buffs/Merits/etc...?

transgressive telepathic immunity, dreadnaught in the center where it can survey and respond to our surroundings as easily as possible, hack, inside shi ahead scouting. benefactor in a position to the dreadnaughts dorsal side, and BW on the ventral

How do you generate TTI - is that Zelen's ability? I assume you mean some kind of Group Mind Block.
Who's piloting BW, if anyone, and who's in Benefactor, if anyone?
Other NPCs besides Sarashito? You may want someone who can do really large explosive attacks.

some how denios seems that type, as does krane taklinn is in benefactor, and anduris is in BW Zelen, DI, and Victoria in Dreadnaught

Erishkai/Danara's Twin attacks are colossal. As per Krane, aside from Zeromus' Meteo, not really. For Denios, Brrzap II, Maldaemonia, Apocalypse Sphere, Raging Shinken Storm, and his self-destruct qualify.
What are robot crews doing? Will you try to sneak using cloaking or blast away from the beginning with distance weapons or...? I need a full approach strategy, positioning, etc.

stay as far back as possible, nailing it from long distance, the robots basically run maintenence and repair, move around to provide flanking and too keep AOE damage minimalized, the NPC's Sarashito with Taklinn in the benefactor, Denios and Krane in the dreadnaught

No Erishkai/Danara this time? How will the robots move around except in the dreadnaught? And where's Hack?
I'll make an index of the groups now:
Benefactor:
Sarashito Taklinn
BW:
Anduris
Dreadnaught:
Denios Krane DI Zelen
Shi:
Hack

I will note: You have a maximum of four people to a ship. Why spread people that wide? Just wondering how that works in your strategy.

So playing it safe: Reducing offensive ability to gain survivability. Any other tactical prongs?

hmm tactical prongs, i'll probably try to stage this battle near a star just for DI to have fire manipulating fun

The battle location is static. This one happens to be close to the central quasar of this galaxy.

oo quasar, that could be fun

Max, Relyet, the new Tonberry liaison Kriltil, Ruben, Denios, Sarashito, Felhame, Krane, Erishkai and Danara, and Quion engaged with the Hydric Monstrosity and were beginning to wear it down.

acctually the quasar will ahh i love wisdom disguised as recklessness, should be fun slingshoting around the quasar in combat
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Dec 25, 2006 0:50:26 GMT -5
Still ultimately reckless, though, since all it takes is a bad psychic attack or a gravitational flareup and someone goes from slingshotting to suffering tens of thousands of suns collapsing on them.
