"understood," says Mau, taking the parrot and proceeding to head to the deli.

"And be careful about it! There are men after that bird that you must avoid!" is the last bit of instruction called after him as Mau exits the store.
Mau exits the store and enters the bustling city street. The crowd seems to have picked up significantly as there is now a steady stream of cyclists riding up and down the street in addition to a multiplication of younger guys and girls walking the sidewalks. Moving through it will be tough as it is, let alone doing so with caution.
Out of Character: So in the next post I'd like you to tell me Mau's strategy (if any) for proceeding from here and four dice rolls that you have made (Roll a D100) with an online dice roller.

Walking with authority is supposedly the quickest way through the crowded streets. Looking at Mau one would not doubt this in the slightest! He easily makes it the first couple of blocks to the deli before feeling a cold coarse hand grip around the wrist of the hand carrying the parrot cage.
"Hey kid" a pale man with thinning salt and pepper hair and a long crimson coat says. "That looks like a nice bird. It got a name?"

"not sure, but i think so..." says mau attempting to brush off the man's hand and contunue on.

It quickly becomes apparent the man will not be brushed off so easily. As Mau moves to get the guy off of him the guy in question tightens his left hands grip while lifting his right leg in preparation for a roundhouse kick aimed at his face!
The guy doesn't move too quickly so Mau has a good chance to react against this. Though it will be a bit more difficult to dodge his opponent with a hand still on him.

Mau thinking quickly shifts the cage to his other hand and places it behind to keep the bird safe while moving forward into a headbutt to kill the man's momentum. (stepping in so that the guy's kick doesn't hit hard enough to do damage but still headbutting him in the face.)

Quick thinking puts the birdcage in Mao's other hand and puts a handy stop to the strange man's attack! The force of the kick only moving Mao slightly.
"Pretty good" the guy chuckles as he lets go of Mao's wrist and switches his feet so his right foot is now in front of him. This is preparation for a different attack that might not be stopped so easily, however he is not fast enough to switch things up and attack before Mao has his own chance.

Mau, moving forward, knees the man in the balls. "just so you know, i don't intend to take things easy!"

The guy seems taken off guard by the cheap shot and doubles over momentarily.
This brief pause in the man's attempts to attack Mao allows him to notice that his opponent is not alone. Pushing their way through the crowd are two more men coming his way from the direction of the deli, one with short brown hair and a sneer and the other with a black comb-over.

Mau uses showstopper to keep the man off-balance.

Mau's enemy crosses his arms in front of him and blocks the show stopper fairly well. However the process of defending does occupy the man a little bit. Perhaps enough for Mao to begin some kind of counter measure against the reinforcements that are still closing in.
The surrounding audience meanwhile, is beginning to give the two of you more and more of a wide berth. Probably not wanting to get involved in whatever trouble is going on, but oddly enough not turning their heads to watch either.

Mau attempts to use behind you on the reinforcement on the left by jumping ont o the guy who blocked then springing off.

In an impressive display of agility and dexterity Mau leaps up onto and off of his current opponent and lands behind one of the two approaching enemies. From here he immediately goes into a sweep kick that sends the sneering short haired man stumbling for a moment.
Though his moves are going swell Mau's companion finds the sudden movements all but comforting. The bird within the cage is now fluttering its wings frantically and screeching loudly.
"Sounds like he's got what we're looking for"the un-attacked newcomer to the fight says. Lifting his right leg he kicks out in a straight motion targeting Mau's face.

mau simply leans back to doge while putting down the bird-cage...then launching a snap kick at the attackers groin. "So whoever sent you think it takes three of you to deal with me huh? To be honest i'm a little insulted, FIVE would be more apt!"

Mau manages to dodge the attack and return the favor in the form of a kick to his current opponents groin. The guy manages to swat it down with a downward thrust of his palm while tilting his body sideways.
"Heh! You think we're here for you? That's real funny kid" he laughs.
The guy with the comb-over reaches out to grab the bird cages handle as Mau's first opponent comes flying at him with an overhead chop aimed at his shoulder. More importantly putting him between his partner and Mau as he attacks making stopping the second guy much more difficult.

Modification in the middle of battle is dangerous for a reason, the chance taken equals the reward! Flipping first Mau moves his body out of the way of the chop and lands a decent blow on his opponent, manly getting him to step back more so than doing damage. This works out in this instance however.
The forced backward movement of his partner knocks the second guy just out of range of the bird cage giving Mau enough chance to dash forward and grab it. Narrowly avoiding the third guy's attept to grab him he begins a hasty retreat.
OOC: Alright, I need a brief strategy on how you'll lose these guys and a d100 roll made somewhere online.

Mau weaves through the crowd doing an impressive serpentine that throws off his pursuers. It takes a little while but Mau is finally able to return to his authoritative stroll which gets him most of the rest of the way to his destination. Most.
He finds himself ten feet from the Deli when he is approached by another man in a dark read overcoat. He is much smaller than the others with a wide-brimmed hat and long collar that obscure his face. This newcomer doesn't move to engage but instead stands directly in Mau's path. Waiting.

The figure does not respond. Doesn't even move. It seems perfectly content waiting for you to come his way. Which begs the question how they will react if Mau didn't have to come his way. A curious course of action given the circumstances.

Mau moves to simply jump over the man and makes it about half way over him before suddenly meeting with the mysterious mans foot! The man displaying a remarkable sense of flexibility as he bends forward bringing his right leg up behind him meeting foot-to-face with Mau in the air. The blow knocks Mau back down to the ground.
This mysterious opponent returns to their normal posture after the exchange. Once again taking up a wait-and-react approach no doubt.

Mau rushes in to provoke an attack from the strange newcomer. The ploy works rather well as the figure immediately swings out with a swipe of his left arm. Mau preforming an excellent Falling Star and hitting the opponent while avoiding getting hit!
His enemy behind him it is simply a race to make it to the Deli before any more resistance can be met. As he closes in however he notices his opponent is now giving chase, quickly outstripping him and closing in on, and clearly aiming for the bird cage now.

Mau does his best to set the bird cage down gently and sweep his pursuer. Unfortunately the guy nimbly leaps over the sweep and grasps the bird cage in his hands. He moves more swiftly now than ever as he begins his escape.
Then from seemingly nowhere a rope flies out and wraps around the enemies ankle tripping him. Following the line Mau spots a girl several years older than himself with short black hair and a white and green uniform suggesting she works at the deli beyond.
"Now! The bird!"

Mau is able to retake the bird in that moment. His opponent taking their cue and slinking off elsewhere.
"Your welcome. Yes he is in mr...?" the girl replies.
