"Nonsense! You need to be full to fight." Piper goes into the kitchen. Paige rolls her eyes then swirls the scrying crystal around on a three-dimensional map of Earth, the connected Underworlds and Overworlds. "Huh. Nothing."

Wyatt calls to his mother "Mom, you might want to make a big sandwich...this looks like its going to take awhile...."

Suddenly, the crystal comes down... right at the manor. Pheobe says, "Dammit, it must be Cole's blood tricking it." Piper comes back out holding a piping Reuben and a glass of milk.

Wyatt frowns at the crystal "I certainly hope so." He looks to the Reuben and beings to salivate.

Piper's prodigious skills as a chef are superior to pretty much everyone except the Iron Chefs, so it indeed is salivation-worthy.
Chris orbs in, saying, "I heard we were going to find the S..."
A shimmering appears. The perceptions of all here are dwarved by the horror in front of them. Its exact shape is difficult to pin down, a kaleidoscope of articulated club-like extensions, waving tentacular appendages, incomplete arms, brain-like apertures and thick fur. But at the center of it all is a humanoid with a distended and misshapen cranium, randomly moving various directions like an ogre or a hideous gargoyle, with immaculate lips and teeth. There is a scar across its shoulder leading to where its heart would be. It holds a colossal spear that is barbed and has three colossal tines, as if it were made out of athames. One of the many appendages holds Chris close to it. "Ah, the Charmed Ones and their brood. Wish to try that slaying spell on me this time? If so, you lose this little one."

Wyatt "Coles blood my ass!" Wyatt pulls out his sword. Then looks to his parents to see what there doing.

Cole prepares a fireball and Leo has lightning crackling. Chris looks around shrewdly: he always was clever. The aunts are preparing to chant, while Damen is snarling and seeming to do nothing.

Wyatt stares into Chris's eyes attempt to communicate via gestures....(Mental thought)'go left chris...go left' Wyatt will lunge towards the source attempting to run him through. He will also fire (the same lightning of Leo's) from the sword at the source as well.

The Source looks into Wyatt's eyes and begins to shove the athame spear into it. From Damen's hands, flame arcs sideways and ignites the thing. It backs off and is run through, the sword passing through the closet door behind the Source to the other side. Leo says, "Dammit!" Chris barely ducks underneath the spear and lunges away from Wyatt. The fireballs and lightning streak at the Source, flame engulfing it and lightning shocking it... And nothing seems to happen. The Source smiles and says, "I am indestructible." A wave of force erupts, throwing Wyatt, Chris, and Damen helplessly back. The windows shatter, and the monster disappears in a burst of flame and shadow.

Wyatt gets up "Everyone alright?" He'll look around to make sure Chris wasn't captured. "Atleast we didn't lose anyone."

Chris says, "That's weird... If the Source came here to seal the deal, you would think he would have brought more minions or something. This seems pretty non-committal."
Damen shrugs. "None of our attacks had any effect, it seemed pretty indestructible. It may have been trying to feel us out. If it was indestructible, that may have been because it has essence ties with other demons. We have to kill them before we can kill it."
Chris turns to Wyatt and says, "Wyatt? What do you think?"

Wyatt sighs "I think I dropped my sandwich....and that we need to do more research, but if that indeed is the case, then I think I need to go grab some demon slaying garb."

The sandwich is still on the plate, actually, complete with the fries and chips and milk. Pheobe says, "Research how? We're in the dark here." Suddenly, she and Damen grab her head and begin to curse.

Wyatt will begin smiling. "Well I hope that helps answer your question about research...anything good?"

"Dammit, you fuckhead! This hurts!', Damen says. "I saw... bones, spread into a six-pointed star like an asterix..."
Pheobe says, "This demon demands flesh. It feels... incomplete. It needs a place to... preserve skins, muscles..."

Wyatt takes a bit of his sandwich and speaks with his mouth full "Uh huh, and can we identify the demon yet?" he swallows hard "Or are we not at that point yet?"

Wyatt keeps eating "Well for fucks sakes I don't want to get food on it, lemme finish first shit face. Don't be such a whiney bitch just because you got a premonition." Wyatt goes up to the attic to the book of shadows.

"Hey, man, you asked, I gave you the solution to your problem, the ball's in your court and you're out for a power lunch. You'd do better than I thought in corporate America. Anyways, if you're gonna be a pansy...", Damen says. Chris orbs the Book to him and flips through it. "Huh. That's not good.", Chris says.

Wyatt shrugs and keeps eatting and speaks with his mouth full again "Hey man, I haven't had me one of these in what would feel like forever! You try eatting Old Guard peanuts for what seems like every meal..." e looks tp chris "Whats not good?"

"You get for free the type of food I shell out cash for... well, except for Auntie Piper, thank you!" He kisses Piper on the cheek, seeming the epitome of the good nephew.
Chris says, "Hey, can we cut down on the familial love here? The demon that Damen and Pheobe saw sure isn't the Source. It's a demon the Source banished for killing demons as readily as humans. It's called the Fleshless, and it is a demon of bone that makes a patchwork of skins on its body. Most of the time, at least according to the Book, the flesh rots slowly, so it only satisfies its hunger briefly. But if it ever found the flesh of a sufficiently powerful enemy..."

Wyatt smiles "That could be a powerful tool for us, very unethical, but powerful. We need a white goat sacrifice for this guy, and maybe we can proswayed him into just killing demons....we could take a vacation if we got it to sign a mystical contract." Wyatt takes another bit of his sandwich and a drink of his drink "But on a more important note, how can we find him?"
|
|
|

Damen says, "You're missing the point. Somehow, in some way, the Fleshless is tied to the source. It's going to want our skins."
Pheobe says, "Maybe, but I felt... I don't know, like the Fleshless was an innocent. I know it sounds weird, but it felt like it was in danger and that was a bad thing."
Leo comments, "Pheobe saw a place to preserve flesh. And it would need to be in a discrete location. That's not a lot, but it might be enough to give you leads."

Cole says, "Demons typically like to do things to two extremes. They either like to hide in plain sight or hide really ostenatiously. Either he works under a leather-making shop or some other place that deals with skins, or he'll be in a sanctum in the underworld."
|
|
|
Post by Ainsophaur on Mar 22, 2006 0:54:05 GMT -5
Wyatt frowns "...you know how many leather shops are on castro street alone?!" he sighs and looks to the group "I think we should draw straws, the winner gets to go the underworld, the loser...plays girlscout and sells cookies to the nice leather makers?"

"That would explain the premonition.", Cole says.
Paige says, "Interrupt me if I'm wrong, but if you kids are going to hunt down a demon the Source excommunicated, shouldn't you be, you know, a TEAM?"
