"This won't be pleasent...."

"Well, no, this is really my only evil little trick. But I think it does the job. I know this is cliche, but death is an important thing. If we want sex, individuality, or anything like this universe, we have to have death, decay and entropy. Barring smart sentient decision-making, of course. But even there you need death to get there."

"Understandable...how much for the ring...I'd hate to have failed to pay whats due and leave my chil...well hate to leave my parents with the bill...." he'll frown at this. "Promise me you'll make this slow and painful...I don't wanna miss a moment of any of it...I was told this is the only true peace anyone can look forward to.."

"Nothing. Take it. Consider it a gift. It is a gem responsive to our powers, a rare one. And if you were told that, it's a lie. It's as unnatural to fear life as it is to fear death. I don't inflict pain for any other reason than to show you the full range of life and to strengthen your powers."

"I feel unnatural...like a bane to life...always eroding away are it. I know its the quote unquote order of things, But I still don't like it, it's why I came to you. I felt you may have some other form of wisdom i am yet to understand. And thank you for the ring, I will charish it for as long as i have it."

"If you're an integral part of the way the universe operates and makes sense, how can you be unnatural? Yes, normally humans preserve a state of low entropy and your body seeks to make it higher, but bear in mind that the fact that energy tends to move from high to low concentration is why stars, life and complex materials are born. I'm something similar, a particularized biological manifestation of your general phenomenon." She smiles. "I was just having a round-table with Wallace, Elaine, your dad and Carpet Bomber on the topic."

Evan smiles at this "I haven't seen carpet-bomber in sometime....I hope he's well." Evan will shift his weight...restring from touching his neck "Is this thing going to bite me or what...I don't personally enjoy letting small insects crawl on me....no offense or anything, but then again, you aren't exactly small as ananasi go."

"Eh, angry and conservative, as always." The thing had bit down when it came in. It now disconnects and turns into a ring. "That's your answer."

"Thanks...it was giving me the heby gibies is all" he'll scratch his neck and rub it like trying to knock off so many crawling ants.

"Hey, stop spazzing, spaz. So. Where do we begin, young hoodlum?"

He chuckles "That, I leave to you, Im willing to take anything your willing to teach...but if you insist, ive always been interested in riding the line between life and death, and how it is you can function normally under these circumstances. And your death trace technquies."

She says, "So...? How do you want to begin?"

"Ooooh...dual normally work pretty well for me. They help me understand my new skills once i learn them, So I suppose i should learn my new skills then attempt to apply them."

"Fair enough. So, ask yourself this: Why, with your power of Entropy, did you seek out Death?"
Post by Ainsophaur on Mar 2, 2006 14:36:42 GMT -5
"Because...i didn't do it because of my powers...I did it because from a very young age, Ive always had a fanination with it...why it happens, what happens to the people whom die....not the phsyical form...but there spirits and essence..."

"Yes, but your Magi powers are connected to your personality and essence at a fundamental level. What you are is represented there."

"So I've been told, but im not faninated with myself, but others. And ive always wondered how the great wheel and all the mechanics work behind it. But I'm wasting time. Lets begin."

"But you're assuming there is some clear cut distinction between yourself and others. A lot would disagree, especially those who know a lot about death. And this isn't a waste of time, otherwise I wouldn't be asking."

"Well, Ive been using other trainners to become a lich....you see as much as I hate life, and have this death wish, I do enjoy living when times are good. So...perhaps a way to...umm stay alive...or keep going even after that fact I have past on? Im not sure...really a brief lesson on becoming a death magi would prove incredibly useful I'd imagion. Looking at my new body and its nature, your death trance would be incredible...."

"One doesn't become a Death Magi. I did it because the Ananasi spin the web of death and deal in the information and secrets normally confined to dead men. Only the Ratkin and Corax know better how to pry the information from the lips of women in the grave."
Post by Ainsophaur on Mar 3, 2006 12:39:38 GMT -5
Evan chuckles "I didn't mean literally become like you. I ment how to weave in your style of magic. Thou, Ive always wondered what it'd be like to be an anansi."

"We spend our lives spinning webs. Some are of deceit, some death, some information, some of shelter and home. We parlay information. Anansi itself once held all the world's wisdom in a jar. We trick others so they learn, and so we benefit. In my case, I liked jewelry so I worked in a jewelry store, and I helped protect the world from itself. But we Magi do not weave magic. The tapestry is at best a medium for us: we conjure it from ourselves."

Post by Ainsophaur on Mar 10, 2006 2:09:17 GMT -5
Evan smiles "Ive always held such wonder to the UM's. How can they conjure everything from themselves? Why can't I, or better yet, Why can't or when can I begin to learn to use other Magi powers, such as your for instance?"

"Because each person has a unique aura, soul, behavior, signature, set of priorities and beliefs... And a Universal Magi has broken the barrier of conservation of matter and energy."

"Well, all things do to some extent, and those like Fred, DF and I do that. But others deliberately segment themselves from the world: The King of Blood, say."
