It's not a pond, it's a swimming pool, and there are kids in the swimming pool, a snack stand, a water slide... Nothing immediately suspicious.
Crash says, "There's a good chance it's a minimalist secret."

Crash Fox laughs. "No, no, not size, I mean that they probably make the protocol for getting in pretty easy and basic but still restricted. Maybe cast a fireball spell at something." She then quickly says, "Don't! Actually do that, I was just offering an example, hun."

Milky will shake his head,, "Can't a man just get a fricking time demon!" and cast Endgate in a somewhat inconspicuous place

I fail to see what could possibly be inconspicuous about Endgate, and Milky doubts anyone in the Klaban would have an Endgate key.

Crash Fox shakes her head. "It's not low level magic - that'd be too much of a chance that a random passersby with magical inclination could open it. And I think it's something either you or I have in spades..." She begins walking around the playground, greeting the boys and girls, and saying, "Do any strange men ever hang around here, and where do they go?" A girl says, "Yes, they scare me! They're always near the spinning thing."

It's not an electrical carousel, but it is mechanical. Nothing is at first remiss about it... and upon closer investigation, nothing still seems remiss, at least mechanically.

Milky sees no incantations in particular, but he does see something now. Some girls say, "Is he.... crazy?" Crash Fox says, "No, just... well, yes."

As the device spins, amazingly enough it does not shatter, fly away, etc. Milky is teleported alone somewhere. He can't see anything: the darkness is palpable and almost undoubtedly mystic.

Crash Fox comes in afterwards. His Storm Tiger Eye sees, just barely, an earthen path leading to a circular hollow.

Crash Fox nods. There is an erupting of light. A number of screams are heard. Suddenly, a gout of flame is erupting at the two, filling the hallways, while the ground below them turns into mystic quicksand. Crash says, "Dammit, it's a trap!" Milky's turn.

Turn the emperors honor into two big ass shields, one for moving safely across quicksand, the other for turtling our way forward in the tunnel.

The Emperor's Honor repels Milky from the quicksand and begins to burrow the two forward. The flame rockets away from it, though the EH will not be an effective blast shield for too many more of those hits. Meanwhile, by triangulating the elemental effects in the area, Crash turns the quicksand into fog and blocks the vision of the enemies. The scintillating fog crystals work perfectly for Mist of the Prism... And Milky has more turn.

can i make the EH a weird twisted concave shape so it will sort of scoop the fire up and direct it back forward? mmake mist of the prism then use sspontaneity to make all these weird little liht goblins that run around and ruin peoples dodges and parries mostly.

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 8, 2006 20:30:40 GMT -5
In theory, yes. Now, no.
The goblins leap around, powering through defenses. They don't seem to as effectively knock and impede their foes' activities as hoped, but it still helps. Mist of the Prism erupts and fires everywhere, blasting into the five cloaked individuals. Two chant and clearly attempt to dispel the Mist, but fail. However, the last one not only does that but trips a mystic net and magic dampening field. The original two conjure a series of sonic rings then create ice shards carried by the rings. Crash and Milky are simply smashed by it and thrown into the rear wall. A force cube forms around them.
