Excellent. Now, which of the options I listed (i.e. work for a villain, have a parallel human hero, be involved in a huge intergalactic monster war, etc.) did you particularly like?

monster war sounds nice actually but i could also shrink down to human size and roleplay with other mortals (or there could be a monster city where you are required to be small or something that could be cool)

You don't have the Shrink power, so you would need to have a friend with a shrink ray (or maybe the ability to switch your mind with a human or a shared consciousness of some sort) or so on. And you would need to have a way to look normal.

Post by GM on Mar 1, 2006 18:49:40 GMT -5
it could be that upon entering the city that you shrink to human size as to not damage anything or just make it a city to accomodate mosters so it is huge beyond belief.

Yes, either/or are possibilities assuming you are interacting with a monster universe or planet or what not, but that does alter things substantially. I don't even have an idea as to how that would work, though I can undoubtedly come up with one. There was a Monster Island in the original Gojira continuity. But if it's a human city, whether Earth or otherwise, it would have to either be one where such scientific innovation is spread enough so at the least you're not killed on sight.

And are you thinkin' more hack-and-slash, adventure, what?

Post by GM on Mar 2, 2006 14:08:00 GMT -5
not necissarily not all monsters have to be aggresive it could be more of a yeah we fight but there is also a community for everyone in fact to possibly to work in some reason for me to be there i could be bio mechanical so you know i can go in and get implants buy possible weapons and armor nice stuff for my house it could be like a game where monsters have human like civilization but there monsters, hell humans can be there too just make them superhumans i wouldnt mind fighting the gun ho guns or anyone else (ill take the magus on you can even give him his stupid infinity gaulent that would be a nice challenge actually) i think that would be cool. the thing could be that when you enter the city you shrink down to human size and ability but when you leave you are monster sized again. that way you could still have normal humans but there accepted somewhat by humans (or at least tolerated) could be sort of like humans and mutants in x-men comics.

Of course not all monsters are aggressive, or at least blindly so, but quite a few are. It's Godzilla, for god's sakes. You're territorial, so whatever territory you have you'll defend. And all creatures can benefit from science if it's good enough science, not just Biomechanicals. A hack-and-slash game would be just you popping your head to fight some things. (The Infinity Gauntlet is supposed to make someone omnipotent. I think he'd be slightly outside of your league.)
An option I was considering is that you and other monsters have shrines like Illusion of Gaia that allow you to take a human form, a small battle form and a large battle form. That way you could explore Earth, possibly head to other planets, AND become huge (sometimes with some difficulty) when you needed.

that sounds like a good idea i think that will be fine but could the shrine be the anchient shrine of king ghidora that i can activate from a distance because that would be cool. the one thing that i would like to have though is that monsters are much more common than in the movies you know numbers in the hundreds than in the tens sorta thing.
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 2, 2006 15:10:55 GMT -5
Well, there's not one shrine, there are many, but you can't activate it from a distance at least to begin. And if others want to play, they can of course do that mechanism, be a god with the shrink ability, have a human counterpart, etc. Also, if you want, we can run a parallel constant battle-arena game where you just fight a lot of monsters, OOG of course.
Throughout the movies, especially if you look at not only Godzilla but King Kong and Ghidora, there are hundreds of monsters. But I will try to keep the number of monsters down: they aren't a dime a dozen. Most live in space and consume ambient radiation, live on Monster Island, are sealed away except for rare circumstances or any number of other alternatives.

In the water above, there is a crashing. Then a sinking sound. Something is breathing and making bubbles the size of houses, and it is rapidly approaching...

OOG: since im territorial is someone approching my house with intent to fight (i have aura sight i can tell that cant I) make me go into rage regardless i start charging lightning breath in all three mouths once it reaches five rounds (with the charge from rage if it happens of course) or when he comes into my ice castle thing i will fire all three right at him (and since where in an ice kingdom under water note that there isnt water in here so i wouldnt electrocute myself by firing however he would be wet from coming in from the water)
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 7, 2006 15:40:30 GMT -5
OOG: Aura Sight has distance limits and you can't see it yet. And attacks like lightning breaths don't electrocute you just from being underwater, though they can be made to under some situations.
You now hear a horribly dubbed English voice yelling, "I will defeat you!" It's not coming into your castle, waiting for you to come out.

Post by GM on Mar 7, 2006 15:45:50 GMT -5
OOG: but still he did disturbe me so rage or no.
regardeless wait till i almost have five rounds charged then i step out then fire.

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 7, 2006 15:54:42 GMT -5
OOG: Yes.
Ghidora does not get that opportunity, or at least not that easily. Monster Jaw picks up a rock and throws it at the castle. The castle shakes.

i wait this fucker is only getting me more pissed off but when my five rounds are up i blast him.
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 7, 2006 17:01:29 GMT -5
Monster Jaw then walks inside the castle, ducking and hiding behind pillars. His hideous and misshapen head wags back and forth. He attempts to get his jaws around Ghidora's head.

Post by GM on Mar 7, 2006 20:36:25 GMT -5
OOG: which one
i swipe my tail around and attempt to get him off of me then i try to punch him twice to try to force him up against a wall finish what should be my last round of charging and on the next round fire all three blasts at him with him hopefully pinned.
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 7, 2006 20:46:25 GMT -5
OOG: The center one.
Monster Jaw amazingly evades the tail strike, jumping over it in the water, and continues forward with his jaw. He then gets his jaw around Ghidora's head, but Ghidora punches away at him and eventuallly dislodges the creature, taking some damage in the process. This would be the fourth turn now.

Post by GM on Mar 7, 2006 20:59:41 GMT -5
oh ok sorry about that
i assume that this right now is the last turn correct if so than i attmept to use my strenght to pin him against a wall back in the kingdom or failing that attempt to stun him with a powerful blow to the head with my tail if i pin him keep him there till i fire, regardeless of wether or not i pin him i will attempt to get my lightning breath as point blank as possible thinking to myself (who the hell is this guy and what the hell does he want with me) .

Ghidora rushes forward and pins the weak Monster Jaw against the wall. The creature says, "You will never vanquish me!", his voice not syncing with the motion of his jaw. He keeps him pinned for the extra turn and fires the lightning breath. It crackles along Monster Jaw and melts him. His spirit dissipates, with a voice yelling "YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE LAST OF ME!"
