It's time for Crashing Heavens to return to its roots: An organization specialized in hunting demons! Here's where the team can pursue particular demonic forces and destroy them.

So where to begin? Does Taklinn have particular demon adversaries of note?
Post by Vincent Hack on Aug 17, 2006 11:07:58 GMT -5
in particular, among the infernals (the Epic demon) a hundred bodied creature the size of a cloud giant , the name of the creature I cannot pronounce, and among the atropals (not demons but pretty fucking close, they're still born godchildren risen as undead)

If you mean literally Epic as in D&D, that'd be Legendary and would be a joke for you. But if this is a demon that has evaded Taklinn, it may be Transgressive.

Post by Vincent Hack on Aug 17, 2006 14:05:40 GMT -5
yeah the thing would be transgressive, I was giving you a few monsters to play with as you see fit DND CR's infernal 35 atropal 32 hundred body thing 57 ((known for ending pantheons) taklinn 52
that was them by challenge rating so i guess you could keep the power level equivalent the same

5 more CR than a PC ain't that much more... I'd have to amp it up with other things, I imagine.
How would Taklinn go about finding this thing? And I need a much more indepth description of it.

okay tad pissed wizards diddn't have a picture of one posted basically its a thirty foot tall treelike abomination that upon its upper half are one hundred humanoid upperbodies crammed together, it has obsenely high DR (taklinns sword is powerful enough to by pass that) it has ridiculus fast healing and regeneration, wears half plate armor, and dispite its many attacks (it uses 100 human sized greatswords) can only make 15 against a PC Taklinn's size and 10 against anything smaller (each body gets in the others way) its full 100 must be it's size or larger, the humanoid bodies also wear halfplate armor, it specifically said that it may have many powerful greatswords

So the creature would undoubtedly collect weapons. That may be a way to find a lead for it.

plus a little for CH's communal stores if one is decent enough (that my be unlikley considering the sheer quantity of swords it has)

I imagine it would have many very good weapons, though yes only a few of exceedingly high quality.
Begin there or somewhere else?

well there is the issue of roaming the hells to find it's prison, than kill it

Assuming it hasn't left the hells to go somewhere else.

granted, it was imprisoned by the gods, to keep it from reaking havoc, and i think there are more than one, then again foolish entities release one or more to try to take over and the thing destroies everything

Right, but if this one has harassed Taklinn in the past, 10-to-1 it's not been sealed.

So what's the plan?
Post by Vincent Hack on Sept 1, 2006 18:24:37 GMT -5
gahh, how do you find a thirty foot tall hundead bodied thing that cant disguise itself
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Sept 2, 2006 3:51:35 GMT -5
Considering how massive the universe is with all of its dimensions and planes, and considering that it can easily acquire help or an enchanted item to do so...

"yo pops, where is that asshole hundread body thing that almost killed me"
OOG: Taklinn's father seemd the best idea, even if he doesn't know he might know a guy who does
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Sept 2, 2006 19:04:18 GMT -5
Taklinn's father smiles. "Where do you expect it to be?"
Post by Vincent Hack on Sept 3, 2006 11:42:14 GMT -5
"right where i'd last guess, only question is, where would i last guess"
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Sept 3, 2006 15:33:06 GMT -5
"Then begin guessing. Where would such a creature hide?"
Post by Vincent Hack on Sept 4, 2006 11:25:16 GMT -5
"hmm, where would and could such a creature hide, if it was released from it's prison it would begin destroying everything in it's path, seeing as it has not...where could this thing cause the most damage"
OOG: this is not a political creature even if it is lawful evil, dispite it's intellegence, it still has a one track mind it's an abomination in D&D terms, and that means nothing accepts it
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Sept 4, 2006 15:39:59 GMT -5
"Would it? What are its goals? It seems to like collecting the multifarious weapons it uses upon you..."
OOG: So what does it do? What is its motivation?
Post by Vincent Hack on Sept 4, 2006 16:24:39 GMT -5
OOG: aal things dispise it, so it despises all things, and takes particular joy in ending pantheons
"it's goals are to destroy everything, hmm reminds me of Itek"
