A large portion of the team decides to land at the X Manor. In the courtyard, a young mutant concentrates, suddenly making a simply massive detonation in the water. It appears like fluoride was just dropped in water somehow. A tendril of power leads to him. The Professor watches with interest, then detects the new presence and telepathically communicates. "Welcome! What brings you here? I suppose I should wait until you are within speaking range."

All of the mutants familiar with the professor will run and give their hugs and the others will give their polite greetings and they will convey the message that they are here to be gofers to take any weight off of the professors shoulders that needs to be taken off.

The Professor hugs as well as he can being in his wheelchair. "This is a new recruit. His power is quite unique: he can add or subtract electrons, currently within the shell. At the moment he is turning oxygen into fluoride. If he increases his power, he may be able to turn plutonium into thorium or other less radioactive minerals." The kid turns. He is a freckled red-haired glassed boy, somewhat small but yet with a strangely suave demeanor, a little dreamy-eyed.

"Logan, while your sarcasm and skepticism is as always appreciated, you forget that I am more than just an easily bamboozled old man. I do have some gifts. So. I sense that you all have had some successes... and some failures. Is there any help you need from me?"

"It is your choice. As I'm sure you know, because of the brave new world we face, mutants encounter both new opportunities and new challenges. The drastic changes recently have both weakened and strengthened anti-mutant political pressures. There are new mutants to find and protect, new villains to bring to justice, and new research to perform, among other tasks of the X Institute."

I will inform him of what has transpired since our last visit when we got most of the XMen on my team.
Then I will tell him that beast would absolutely love to take Hagrid (and anybody else who love science that I can't think of) and go to the lab to do some research.... maybe technology boosts for our ships.
The rest of the team will volunteer to act as a rescue team to locate and help mutants in distress or mutants who have newly discovered their power and offer them spots at the professor's mansion under scholarships from us.

Professor X nods. "What a powerful mutant, so awry and vile. I feel that that creature you faced is less an actual human than a manifestation of the most human of evils. And you have met others and seen others. Your observations confirm mine. A great scream is running along the tendrils of all minds. Some plug their ears, indeed most, some listen to the scream eagerly and worship its source. But there is a disturbance, a 'Je sais mais je ne sais quoi.'"
Hagrid is less a sciencey type than a beastmaster. They could go to the Savage Lands and get some awesome dinosaurs or some such.
The Professor gives the team the newest Cerebro readings. Owing to new psychic technology, he has found the ability to detect mutants sometime before they develop. There are three, one in Lennus, one on the Breath of Fire world, one in Thailand.

Well take Beast, Hagrid and anybody else who would be good at it and go to the badlands for some dino capturing, and the rest will head to Thailand first.

You'll actually need to sketch out the teams concretely.
The team going to Thailand needs to find a woman, probably 16 or 17, somewhere in Bangkok, living in a tenement in a rather bad part of town.

What Danger Room will you do? Apocalypse? Onslaught? Some such? And should I make a new thread for each?
The Pelicans of the dino-hunting team land in the Savage Lands in a large empty area.
Meanwhile, the other Pelican will have to figure out how to get into Thai airspace.

I was hoping you'd just NPC the Danger room.... make it so its nothing HUGE that they are doing, just staying busy.
The dino-hunting team might be NPCed if you fealt it was appropriate... if not we can do that in another thread.
The main team though is hopefully getting into Thai Airspace with Cortana's help and using Ranger contacts.

Okay. I can just time-skip the Danger Room, if you prefer. The Dino Hunting team seems more fitting to actually play.
The Pelican flies through a thick sheet of snow, only the masterful coordination of Cortana allowing the small and beleaguered ship to make it through the antarctic weather into the Savage Lands. The Beast says, "If memory serves me correctly, we should find Ka-Zar and Shanna as a guide through this area."
The team is able to land in Bangkok's airport. When they land, a number of people in quarantine suits come out, saying, "Get out of the vehicle. We must search your possessions to see if you are carrying contraband beyond the Ranger privileges as well as disinfect your ship."

OOC: Who are these guides that Beast knows of?
IC:They will continue to find a suitable place to begin their hunt. I'm going to hope that they brought a few extra pelicans with cages and slings for holding dino's too big to fit inside the transports. Also that they had work begun on a "stable" in the pillar of Autumn and at my HQ on Earth.
IC: Everybody complies and allows themselves to be searched and decontaminated.

www.marveldirectory.com/individuals/k/kazar.htmwww.marveldirectory.com/misc/savageland.htmAs a Beastmaster, Hagrid doesn't really need cages, though it helps. No diseases or contraband are found. The team gets through the aiport and into the bustling city of Bangkok. The sex industry is the first thing they see, then the various tourist traps: the arcades, the malls, the restaraunts... Their destination is halfway between the glitzy area and the slums.

They will be off then, browsing areas trying to be unnoticed, but not tarrying too long in the sreets and keeping their goal in mind, not walking in a group but on seperate sides of the street and staggered a bit.
All characters on the hunting team will try to equip a beastmaster or trapper or related skill if it is possible.

The team attracts no attention from cops, thieves or anyone else. They head into an area of ratty buildings. Wolfwood mutters, "Brothels." Soon enough, they find the supposed building.

You enter into a ratty building. Plaster falls on top of Wolverine's head. Behind the counter is a man, obviously a pimp, reading a magazine. He looks at all of you, speaking in broken English. "Oh! You want have good time? Girls are pretty, give you party, booze flee!"

The man draws up. "I no know of no girl! Why you look for girl like that anyway. Prettier girls here, all for you!"
So, Savage Lands team look up Ka-Zar and Shanna?

The savage lands team does exactly that.
Wolverine grabs the man by the shirt and pops two claws out around his plump face and speaks perfectly clearly: "We asked nicely papa-san... now dont make me ask with an angry tone... I just want to talk to the girl."

The man quickly buckles. Apparently you lucked out and got the guy when he's not in the mood to fight. "Light! Light! Forgive me! The girl was one of my working girls. She got high, mighty, killed a customer! Yakuza does not forgive that! I discipline her, she give me this, she run!" He points to a simply massive boil concealed underneath his arm. It looks like a nasty allergenic response.

Also, how is the hunters luck coming with locating those two guides?
