OOC: Shiiiiiiiit.
IC: Bust into Tyler's room, and get Tyler and that other cool guy who was with us.
OOC: What was that guys name? Or like, who was he again? I forget the details but he was the one that came with us in the truck and got bugged about my spirit wards or something...

IC: As you bust open Tyler's room, the same image of Mr. LeStrange is there, only now surrounded by a corona of flame.
OOC: Franklin, the disguised demon. Tyler, anything to say?

Both Tyler and Mike now hear a muffled screaming, what sounds like desperate banging and a burning sound. It seems something is trying to get heard... but the sound is coming, the two can tell, from inside the walls.
Franklin says, "What the goddamn... those wards should be at least fazing those things!"

OOC: I thought that Mike and I were actually sharing a room...
IC: Are my senses saying that any of my new friends are in danger and/or being hurt?
IC: I'm going to jump out of bed and grab my revolver. (If I remember correctly I had various cylinders that had different types of ammunition for different types of supernatural beings?)

No. You and Franklin were sharing one. Mike had chosen a small room and filled it to the brim with wards.
No, but you do somehow feel a tremendous desperation from somewhere above you, roughly where the muffled screaming is coming from. The people you're travelling with otherwise seem to be unharmed, though obviously scared quite literally out of their wits. They also seem to all still be there. It is admittedly hard to see or even sense through this fog.
Yeah, I believe so. You're probably sleeping with your sidearm at all times.
The screaming continues, and the fog intensifies, becoming a bit more like smoke. Both Ward Fox and his companion realize that they should probably get out the gas masks now.

Yeah, I'll bust those out like I bust Mike out of his clothes when I haven't seen him for a week, if I have spares I'll hand them to whoever doesn't have access to any.
Do any of the ammunition types that I have direct themselves towards ghosts and geists?

Not really. Bullets that harm ghosts are few and far between. Your Nightbane form might be able to target the intangible... You hand out the gas masks. Everyone puts it on, obviously quite uncomfortable. Le Baron says, "I have my own gas mask. I wouldn't want to corrupt my body with your... microbes." The hippy girl says, "This feels so unnatural. What's the danger?" The thumping and sounds everywhere continue. And a stalking sound seems to get closer.

The spot that I singled out in the ceiling where the pleas and banging were coming from, I'm going to start ripping apart the drywall with the but of my rifle to try to expose whatever it is... telling mike to be mindful of whatever that stalking sound is and to maybe try to talk to mr. LeStrange

There's not much drywall. It's mostly pure wood.
Will Ward Fox speak to LeStrange?

IC: "Spirit! Calm yourself, we be meaning no disrespect by beein' in your home!" Put on my gas mask and try to figure out exactly where the stalking sound is coming from.
OOC: When was it determined that my name was Ward Fox? Not that I mind, just curious.

The apparition seems to faze in and out for a second, as if rewinding to an earlier state. It simply says, "I do not want any of you interlopers in my house!" Again the horrific scream. You notice that the scream stops the bumping sounds, as if it was emanating from the same place. The stalking sounds seem to come from inside the walls, from the chandeliers, from every solid surface. It's hard to see much of anything with that thick fog. Given what happened last time...
OOC: That's what I found in my records. If you wanna change it, shoot me. If not, shoot me. I need lead.

IC: "This is bullshit, either this is a hoax or you don't have your foot in this realm enough to do shit. So if you aren't going to do anything I'd advise that you shut the hell up and let me eat my Lobster."

"You have been warned!" Suddenly, the people's hearts start beating slightly more quickly. Tyler recognizes the effect: this is like a chemical weapon, maybe a mild VX. The smoke is also starting to overtake the fog. The beating subsides, but it is clear that these are not idle threats.

Again the strange shimmering of the image and the sudden quiet, except of course for the bumping and sounds coming from all over the house. "No more questions! This house is not meant for any of you! It must be sealed off!" You hear Le Baron curse, strangely enough.

I'm glad this is mysterious. The elderly woman says, "My good Lord, what are we still doing here? Shouldn't we escape, at least until such a time that we can discover what is happening?" You then hear her gasp and then a loud thud.

IC: "SHIT!" Turn around to try to locate her. Do my senses tell me that she was hurt?

|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Nov 30, 2005 1:24:12 GMT -5
Your senses don't need to tell you what's obviously happening. Her hand is grabbing her chest and she is falling into unconsciousness.

Great, so the gas masks aren't working or weren't used soon enough, well I will grab her and run out of the room and downstairs, attempting to get her outside to fresh air unless their is no smoke in the downstairs portion of the house.

The chemicals seem reasonably well-distributed. Tyler figures that the chemicals were probably dermally absorbed. Le Baron continues to curse in French, occasionally spewing out phrases like "We're going to die!" The team runs to the door, at this point desperate to get out. The doors remain locked... until suddenly they open, as if from the outside.

Switch the woman over my left shoulder and draw my revolver hoping that the spirit is just letting us out and that there isn't something evil on the other side.

There doesn't seem to be anything evil, though now the smoke settles in. It seems that the smoke, like you saw, is really being generated in the distance. Something else is making it disperse throughout the house evenly...
Franklin whispers to WF and Ty, "I don't think that we should run. Let's send them off and go back in."

Franklin says, "We'll leave after you! There might be danger in there. We'll cover you."
Le Baron sneers, "What can you do, biker pig?"
Franklin smiles and walks up to him. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you were behind this. Don't give me more incentive to mash your face in. Your thugs won't stop me."

Release the people I was helping and turn back. I want to attempt to make contact with the spirit I sent with the butler, see if he can give me any information on what he's doing. Also, I want to see if I can question my fetish about this fog and the image of LeStrange.
