Izo [who I assigned Barbarian to since that was his preference] leaps in with a combination of Whirlwind Attack and Tsubame Gaeshi. This devastating combination lets him get a blow on four of them even through the barrier, which he has partially punctured, but the damage is less than impressive. Izo immediately comments, "These creatures are more than our equals".

How? Flight, attempt to teleport, run, invis, etc.?

fly away.

Izo can't fly, he can only walk on the air. Raizen can't fly either. Nor can Yusuke, Ikkaku or Grimmjow.

The difficulty with running is that they're still in the barrier thing, and also I forgot it's the first Saibamen's turns after Gohan, so Gohan would have to set up the escape single-handedly.

OOG: what are the limit breaks for everyone (because i don't know) also if possible full stat outs in a PM? (Gonna start a word doc to keep track of this)
can gohan pierce the barrier with a Kamehameha?

Gohan can attempt to, yes.
I keep one comprehensive party edit section. I'll add their Limit Breaks to Nash's Party, the page one post, but you will have to come up with three Limit Breaks for Kao Ji: 1-1, 1-2, 2-1 (that is, they are Level 1 and Level 2 Limit Breaks).

so Gabriel will do what we discussed at onagi.

Gabriel bursts out, taking heavy damage as he does so and being heavily disoriented, almost unconscious. Hanataro may heal Gabriel passively with hits; if he does so, he raises Gabriel from 20% to 45% and charges his meter another 40%.
Gohan still can act; Solar Flare is an option, as is noted.

hanataro will be healing him and gohan will use solar flare. (did you count the healing from striking the saibamen with erosive chains?)

OOG: I did. That's what kept him at 20%.
The Solar Flare is seemingly effective. The creatures do not recoil in pain, however. Gohan is smart enough to conclude that they probably have some kind of natural tinting. Nonetheless, the light is so big and bright that it does give a cover for an escape. The distraction and initiative reduction is just enough to enable everyone else to start running. How will people start running? Will they do anything to cover their escape? Limit Breaks can possibly be used to run if it makes sense, such as Yusuke's luck-based one.
Sasuke has a held action from earlier. He may be able to play off it with a Mangekyo stun. Rukia also has a held action. Sasuke has Limit Break.

yeah we'll be using yusuke's lucky break (a punne or playe on wordes) to try and run away, keeping close to the ground with kao-ji using tentacle to parry any incoming projectiles.

OOG: HAR HAR HAR
Yusuke activates Mazoku's Own Luck. Since Yusuke isn't much for running, what this means is that he uses Spirit Shotgun, suddenly convinced by some entity, a faint hopeful feeling inside of him (yet seemingly wistful and distant) to strike. He almost hears a voice telling him, "These corrupted Saibamen are too strong for you now, but strike them with your angel light ki to harm them greatly". Indeed, that is what happens. The shotgun blows up two of the eight, creating a chain reaction that harms the third. The remaining ones begin to shriek and wildly dance about. There seems to be something that the angel light ki is doing. Yusuke is virtually exhausted after this, but he seems to have bought the team time. He may need help escaping.
And what will everyone else do?
OOG (again): Pick one of the following:

Gohan will carry yusuke and everyone will run close to the ground to the north (unless that is blocked by the saibas)

You had appeared south of the tower, so south was the clear path, though they do have good coverage in a circle.
Suddenly, a tornado appears near the Saibamen. The tornado is filled with ice shards, flash freezing them in place. Yusuke recognizes the work of Jin and Touya. Two men float in the air and create a barrier: Rukia recognizes one as Hachigen Ushoda, while no one seems to recognize the other, who is a tall middle-aged man in loose-fitting blue tunics and a giant red cape that seems to be flitting with a life of its own, black haired with the slightest tint of white. The older man says, "Retreat! Though it seems that you have received a second chance to defeat them, it is futile!"
As he speaks, a strange pygmy-like creature standing on top of a totem pole which is in turn on top of a scythe floats by. The injured Saibamen are being healed, while the dead ones are being congealed into a horrific flesh pile.

The older man prepares a brief teleportation. Very quickly, you are a few dozen miles from the location, in a glade. The man begins chanting, as does Hachi. Meanwhile, Jin explains, "I don't much know what these two wankers were jibbering-jabbering on about, but it seems like ya can't go near that tower no more don't ya know!"

OOG: Jin the Wind Master. JinTouyaChuuDr. StrangeChuu explains drunkily, "Ay, mate, apparently we're going to get burned badder than a shrimp on the barbie!" At this point, the man that they do not know floats down and introduces himself. "Dr. Strange, Sorcerer Supreme of Earth. I am the mystical protector of what one may call 'Earthrealm'. A vague stirring brought these men here", he says, motioning to the others as he continues. "Meanwhile, in my scrying pool, I saw a glowing woman, first in peasant's robes then in gleaming golden armor. I got the feeling that she was a very old and powerful god guiding us here. However, I can tell you more that some horrible spiritual corruption has struck near the tower of this world's Kami [what Gohan recognizes as Dende]. The corruption is from an unknown source, but I sense the feeble claws of a stirring great entity. In any case, Kami's Lookout is in danger, but we can do little to aid them easily. Powerful monsters have emerged around the area, likely to keep outsiders away".

Dr. Strange explains, "I don't think you understand. These monsters are numerous. My scrying, brief as it was, detected Behemoths, King Slimes, Koschei, and Shoggoths, all corrupted and empowered in the same way as the Saibamen. We cannot stun all of them."

"then we'll just have to sneak through..." mutters Kao-ji everyone will try and sneak and avoid monsters to get far enough up the tower to not be worried by them. anyone who can fly will fly up to that point and if necessary provide air support.

All right. Dr. Strange can provide a glamouring invisibility, and Jin and Touya are shinobi so they have extensive training in hiding their spirit energy and sneaking, but Dr. Strange does point out that these creatures may see through it, especially given that your team has an admixture of skill levels at sneaking (e.g. Yusuke is not particularly skilled). The team sneaks back in. They see more Saibamen scouting around, of the same type as before. Getting closer, they realize that a few of them seem to have Scouters drilled somehow onto their head. One of the Saibamen glances near the party, looking up and down, hissing. After some tense moments, the group manages to sneak just far enough that the Saibaman turns its attention back somewhere else. As they get closer, they see a broader variety of monsters. In particular, one pack gets quite close, cutting off the path forward virtually entirely. The pack consists of three Saibamen apparently under the control of a massive Behemoth. The Behemoth is also accompanied by four Hezrou and three massive hound creatures no one recognizes, not even Dr. Strange. The hounds seem to sniff in the air, getting perilously close, then start howling directly at the team, clawing near them.
