(We'll just assume you ordered food already)
Several rectangular plates are brought to the table bearing the particular rolls the two of you ordered. Said rolls are quite enjoyable and well made. Before long the two of you finish and proceed to the festival. Booths and stalls line the walkways filled with games, painted masks and all kinds of summer trinkets.
"Oooh! What should we do first?" Azuka asks excitedly.

"Yeah! good idea!" Azuka exclaims "I think I see a stand for them over there".
By looking Grin can easily spot the booth that Azuka is talking about, a small canvas tent-like structure open at the front with several display cases. To the side of said cases are a set of flat wooden boards on which a number of masks hag, everything from foxes and bears to tengu and oni and in an even wider array of colors.

"Sounds good!"
Looking around Ichimora spots several potential snack booths. One seems to specialize in hard candy-type snacks and is presided over by an elderly man with a wispy mustache. The second uses black canvas unlike all the other beige and white ones and has a large display of softer candies and rice/cracker based snacks set out by a middle aged woman. The last is a normal looking stand with a colorful array of taffy styled into different animal shapes.
"So do you see something good?" Azuka asks beginning to glance around herself.

"Ooh! sounds good. Let's hit one and then the other" is Azuka's response.
First and foremost the two of you apporach the snack salesman with the wispy mustache. He is very welcoming of his next two customers.
"Welcome young ones! welcome! Ask anything of Yasudori's candy stall and I guarantee you will find it and like items that you never even dreamed of!" he says waving his hand across the table of sweets.

"Ah. Child's play" the man says quickly producing sizeable chunks of grape rock candy and extra large caramel apple pops.
"But might I interest you in something a bit more spectacular? A specialty of the Goten Grounds Festival..." he continues fumbling under the counter for a moment. The tentative silence gives way all to soon to the old mans dramatic breath as he produces "..The Pagoda!"
The old man holds in his hand chocolates a little bigger than silver dollars wrapped and shaped into little shrines.
"Each one has a special something inside and it is said there is a greater truth to what is found inside if it is opened next to someone special. The cost half of what you just bought and I thought you might be especially interested hmm?"

"There you are" the old man says exchanging the money for his own goods "Have a great evening!".
Candy in hand the two of you continue through the festival. Ahead of you are countless game booths that include everything from gold fish netting to prize shoot-down booths to electronic punch and pull strength testers. There are also a couple of palm reading booths, trinket stalls and a boisterous street performer juggling torches.

"Hmmm" she says looking around her for a moment scanning the surrounding festivalscape intensely for the two's next destination.
"That guy over there!" she exclaims after a few moments. Grin can easily follow her pointing finger towards a man in a tattered purple overcoat, green and yellow striped pants and a bright red rubber nose juggling torches over to the left.

"It reminds me of something I saw back home in brazil once. Never stops looking amazing" she comments back.
The two of you open your pagodas. Inside both are little soaring swallow figures, each atop a half-platform with little pegs sticking out suggesting they can be put together. On the bottom of each there is a character written. Grin's reading "great" and Azuka's reading "strength".

"Your family has a shrine? neat! I'll come" is Azuka's response.
The rest of the evening is more or less a pleasant blur from this point on. A wonderful night of games and prizes. Of colorful performances by odd and unusual street performers and of course tons of sweet treats, perhaps the sweetest of all being this time that the two of you share together. Said time coming to a romantic climax as the two of you share a first kiss underneath the fireworks display at the evenings end.
With the rising of the sun the next day however, comes another fun day with a bit less fanfare. Grin's hike up to the family shrine!

As arranged earlier Azuka joins you dressed in a loose orange shirt and jean shorts. Today she has her long hair tied back with a dull brown hair tie with a bit of carved bone at the center shaped like a fish. She has a small leather backpack with her as well, though it makes for a bit lighter traveling than one might expect.
"Good morning!" she calls as the two of you approach each other for the initial meet-up.

"mornin sweetie" approach her "shall we set out or should we make a stop at the 123 (convenience) store first?" either way as we set off from town ask her about her hair tie. "i bet there's a story behind that fish"

It would seem she has everything she needs as she informs you a precursory stop before the trip is unnecessary. As the two of you hike up the first portion of the path she elaborates on her hair tie.
"It was actually a gift. You see, in my home town there's this old man who used to be a part of the military and was especially good at jujitsu. He really liked to spar but people were hesitant to take him on since he was so experienced" she explains while getting a faraway look in her eye.
"He was also a talented craftsman so he would make all different kinds of charms and necklaces carved out of stone and bone and stuff like that to try and tempt people into taking him on.."

"and you wanted that hair tie, from him? You challenged him and it would appear that you had bested him at one point why the hesitation to tell me of the strife?

"Well, I didn't actually beat him. Not at first anyway. After the first couple of attempts it became something of an obsession. Day and night I trained harder than ever just to get this fish" she blushes while bringing a hand up to touch the hair tie.
"It was a little embarrassing actually, but I told myself that if I'd made this big a deal out of it I might as well finish it. So I did and I keep this hair tie as a far greater treasure than almost anything I own".

"i see it is good to know that you can find a drive, that you can see something you want and work to finally earn it. I need to train to beat those who have bested me before namely(karate loving ki kid) and (S ranked guy who almost killed me), it will be a long journey.

"Thanks" she says with a big smile on her face.
"That seems to be the fate of any martial artist that goes to Onagi, getting stronger to defeat those who defeat them. The Black Dawn...those weapon users...Let's get super strong together and send 'em all packing!" she offers jubilantly while pumping her fist in the air.

(Maybe)
As the two of you continue up the mountain, traversing across fields and up the more narrow of the passes you both happen upon an interesting scene. Half way up the mountain there is a young man with round glasses and a fishing hat swooping and swiping with a long wooden net at a sparrows nest in what looks like an attempt to capture a bird from within its nest.
