Zoie gets up at the ripe time of noon. Yawing after a long night of DJ in her club. She gets up and starts her daily routine. Get in the shower, brush her teeth, and getting some clothes on. She starts to wander around the club to see what is going on. Duke calls out to her, " Zoie great show last night."

Duke kind of clears his throat and prepares you a morning breakfast. This is fairly standard: Zoie probably alternates between making her own breakfast with whatever she has in the loft, having Duke make her some, getting some breakfast or an early lunch from one of Miami's many fine establishments, etc. What isn't standard is that he makes you pork chops and eggs.
As he continues to work on what he needs to for the night, he clears his throat again. "Zoie, you're one of them... Kin or what's not, right? Into that weird fightin' stuff?"

"I guess you could call me one of those, but I am not so sure." She takes a bite of food. "Ever sense that day I have been able to see through sound kinda like sonar. I mean yea it is cool to fly and make cool colors come out of my hands. I mean really all I want to do is spread my love and joy around the world through my music and I get to do that through this club!"

"Oh. Well, then I kinda feel bad for askin', but they don't call me 'Duke' for nothing. One of my girls [the club has waitresses that of course bring in a lot of tip money] was having a problem - some guy's stalking her. I was wonderin' if you could talk to the guy. I know, I know, I should go to the cops, but all they say when this happens is that it's to be expected. They imply that my waitresses are sluts and then they tell me to get a restrainin' order. Sometimes one of the nicer ones will go talk to the guy. I just want the issue to stop - she keeps gettin' sick when he's harassing her."

"Oh no problem Duke! All you had to do was ask! Tell me who she is and I can go ask her for more information about the jerk. Cause this is my club too. I will do what ever it takes to keep this place safe."

"It's Tandy, you know the pink-haired one, 'bout 28, 5'2, petite little thing, goin' to school to be a architect? I checked, she hasn't been to classes in three days, and she never misses, even when she's comin' off a late night with me. Here, let me see if I got her address..." He takes out his employee files and then goes to the scanner, scanning it and printing out a copy. "Shred it when you're done, 'kay?"

"Ok Duke I will take care of this for you, but you owe me!"
Grab the paper and head upstairs. Check out the address on the paper and grab my weapons and purse and head to the address with a taxie

"Three months free rent, I'll set up that dental insurance you wanted, and... Maybe a two grand bonus?"
When Zoie heads to the apartment, she can hear the woman inside. There's not a lot of motion, but she is clearly alive, though barely active. Outside the apartment, newspapers and delivers continue to build up. She apparently hasn't picked up her mail in three days.

knock on the door. "Tandy it's Zoie can you get to the door?" Try to open the door.

The door is locked, though obviously won't stand you pushing in or etherealizing through, and Tandy seems to not be responding.

etherealiz through the door and start checking out the apartment. Make sure she is ok.

When you etherealize through the door, you see signs that there's just not a lot of activity. A few dishes are in the sink, indicating they haven't been washed (and are just idly soaking), but there's not many dishes, so she hasn't been having company or eating a lot. The trash has been compressed down but isn't tremendously full. Not a lot of lights are on. How much noise is Zoie making? Is she trying to stay hidden, maybe by floating off the ground?

It's a smallish one bedroom, ground floor, sort of like your apartment in general layout only with the one bedroom instead of two. Not quite a studio apartment, but fairly close.
Zoie senses a very faint sign of disharmony, or something out of place. Floating around the apartment, she soon comes to the bedroom door. It's locked and closed. She can hear very faint breathing through the door, like being asleep, only even fainter than the average sleeper.

The door is locked and shut, to "poke" through you'd have to break it down, etherealize, pick the lock, or similar.

etherealize through the door and enter the room.

All right. Nothing prevents you from etherealizing through the thin wood of the door. At your level, though, even such a short jaunt is fairly exhausting. It's like sprinting (flying) while holding your breath (etherealized). Ironically, the shorter the trip, the less energy efficient at lower levels. Because of this, when she reaches the other side of the door and de-etherealizes, Zoie unwittingly lets out a seemingly loud breath in the room. Exhaling and regaining her breath takes a bit.
However, Tandy simply turns over. Somehow, despite being so deep in sleep, she seems restless, feverish, and pale. Her skin is almost alabaster, not at all the tanned Miami beach girl Zoie remembers. She occasionally mumbles to herself. Zoie can hear the mumbles with her advanced hearing. Tandy is saying, "Mmmmghhh... Master..."

"No Tandy it is Zoie from the club. You don't look good what happend?" cast the healing spell on her, can't remember witch one it is Cooling Ice L.1 Sacrifice:L.1 Warming Flame L.1 Maggatling L.1 Angel of Peace L.1 if you could post where you got those spells that would be great.

Actually, Cooling Ice and Warming Flame both heal. They're not spells, they're Magi abilities, so I made them up. www.angelfire.com/rpg/siva69/FBCharacters/W/WhitieBlackie.htm has Blackie's abilities on the bottom, though the page is outdated. Maggatling is a Magi default. Sacrifice is the ultimate tanking utility, absorbing all incoming attacks. Angel of Peace transforms you into a healing and peace-making form. Tandy doesn't seem to wake initially, before the healing spell is used. It's as if she's in a trance. Since she's feverish but pale, using Cooling Ice on the head to control the fever and Warming Flame on the body to control her warmth may be good. Then again, you are an early Magi, and using Flight, Etherealization, Warming Flame and Cooling Ice in rapid succession is exhausting on Stamina, Focus AND Soul. Will you do the heal?

would taking a like 5 mins help me? Grab some water from the kitchen and try to help her drink it. Then check the closet for anything.

With Stamina, the first five minutes of taking a rest is key. After that, Stamina regeneration declines. Obviously, this is based on experience: After a long run, the first five minutes really helps you get back up, but then after that it takes a long time to finally recuperate. However, Focus and Soul work differently with their regen timetables.
When you get the water from the kitchen, she drinks it a bit, unconsciously. But then she seems to awake, her eyes fluttering. She looks at you and shrieks, "Get out!" She reaches for a gun under her pillow (must have been stalked in the past), but oddly enough, she doesn't shoot it so much as use it as a club as she swings at Zoie.

dodge it if I can, if not try not to get hit in the head. I so don't need to be knocked out right now.
"Tandy it me Zoie from the club! You have not been coming into work and Duke is worried sick about you!"

How will you dodge? Jump backwards, just shift away, fall to the ground, parry the arm...? In any respect, you're far too endurant and she's far too weakly. She was athletic, but never a superstar, when she was healthy, and while she is running off of fury she is also sickly and weak.

Your superhuman strength causes you to easily throw her aside. When you speak, she doesn't seem to notice you even talking, and simply hisses "GET OUT!" She swings again with the gun while trying to get her other hand around Zoie's throat.
