This is the Campaign for Krystal!
She starts on Cinnabar Island. Blaine is away at the moment, so the only thing she can hope to do is get to Pallet Town because her Skarmory cannot currently Fly far enough to get to Fuschia City.

So my Skarmory is able to use Fly to reach Pallet Town?

Skarmory sets you down, exhausted from the flight over the ocean, however it is adamant and continues to walk by your side. Professor Oak walks out of his lab to examine your pokemon closer, but the skarmory lashes out at him and he backs off. Almost like broken from a trancelike wonder over the pokemon, he looks up to you. "I'm sorry, we haven't really seen that Pokemon here before. My name is Professor Oak, I am a pokemon professor, and it is my dream to create a catalougue of every pokemon. Would it be ok for me to examine your pokemon?" He asks, giving you a smile.

"Go ahead--Although Skarsgard isn't the friendliest of pokemon." I say, patting Skarmory easily on the wing. "As long as I'm around, though, she'll be fine."

Professor Oak pets the animal gingerly and observes it from all sides. "You must be a good trainer to upkeep such a healthy looking pokemon." He said happily, scribbling down notes. after a few more minutes, he procured a treat from his pocket for the skarmory and nodded. I am one more pokemon closer to fufilling my dream. Thank you very much!" He said to her. "The Pewter city Gym is to the north, past Viridian city, if you're headed there. You could also go to the elite four, if you already have the badges." The Professor walked away, smiling. "I simply must show Professor Birch this data..." He mumbled. "My daughter would kill me if I left another week..." (OOG: The treat was Zinc, which boosted Skarsguard's Spec. Def and slightly raised steel wing's attack power)

"Thank you, sir! I'm not entirely sure where I'm headed, though." She glanced up at the sky for a moment before turning to Skarmory. "We should go, c'mon, Skarsgard!" Walking past Professor Oak's lab to head up to Viridian city before turning to wave to the professor. "Thanks again!"

Professor Oak waves, and a familiar Purple blob rolls out of the pokemon ranch by Oak's house, which catches his attention. Krystal walks through the grass, the morning a bit too early for anything to be out, and is stopped at the base of Viridian city by a man advertising for the Pokemon Mart. He offers a potion to Krystal, an then turns and leaves. There are a few men outside, one such man a happy looking geezer with a cup of coffee. (see Fred's campaign.) "Go on through, young lady, the passage's free today!" He said, greeting her. She has the option of either going to the viridian forest or examining the elite four, with a third option of going to the pokemon center/mart.

Thanking the advertising man and blinking at the old geezer's words, she decides to stop by the PokeMart for some supplies; with the plan of heading to the Viridian forest. "I'll check out the Elite Four some other time..."

"If you're looking for poke balls, we're fresh out. this bein a wayward town for trainers beginnin and old, we don't ever seem to have enough." the shopkeeper said listlessly. "If you want to wait a day, we should be getting a shipment via Pidgeot for tomorrow sometime this evening." He suggested. "But what with that weird bird you got there, doesn't seem to see that you need another pokemon anyways. Is there any other way I can help ya?"

"Do you have maps? Or would I have to head to the next town to get supplies?"

The shopkeep shook his head. "Town maps aren't at a pokemon mart. There are a few at the museum in pewter, but you'd have to go through that forest and pass that damn old man." The shopkeep grumbled.

"Okay, thank you." She bows her head lightly before walking out of the store, grumblingto Skarmory, "Fat load of help that was. Let's head to Pewter City then."

Krystal and skarsguard walk into the viridian forest. There are many bug types around, but not really many powerful ones. Spinarak, weedle, wurmple, caterpie, ledyba are some of the few. Do you choose to try to catch a pokemon? Even more prudent, do you take the right path or left path to Pewter?

Deciding to go to the left path, she also will attempt to catch a Spinarak.

You see a trainer- a girl in the process of catching a red spinarak (this is Fred, btw). You could challenge him to a duel- however the spinarak that you could have caught have all scattered, except for a spinarak on the trainer's back..... (you should catch this one)

Randy continues to sit there, hating the poison in her body. (So what's happening on my end, again?)

It's her call because you're concentrating on the catch

Gotcha. Randy is communicating her commands and trying to ignore the spider. Can I perceive her?

No, this isn't the type of battle you can afford to ignore for even a second.

Throw a pokeball at it then

It would seem that the red spinarak had some kind of telekenetic power of some sorts, because the pokeball soundlessly stopped in front of her. Hung in midair and clamped shut, her skarsguard walked over and pecked it tentatively to find it as hard in it's place than if it were built within a wall. The trainer ahead of her senses movement from behind but is too wrapped up in her catch to say anything. It would seem that the capture would have to hold until the trainer caught the red spinarak

Kurisutaru cursed quietly, watching Randy attempt to capture the red-hued pokemon. Hopefully she wouldn't want two..

She watched as the trainer ensnared the red spinarak in some kind of darkness and threw his pokeball. As the spider dissapeared within the confines of the ball, her own fell quite suddenly to the ground. (ps now is definately a good chance to try one more time)

Kurisutaru tries once more, the ball lazily flying through the air to ensnare the Spinarak. Once......twice........caught.
Congrats!
