"How didn't I answer my question? Why am I more from where I began then where I am now?" He seems to delay answering the question about the hand.

Corky just looks at him, rather blankly, in fact. He points a thumb over his shoulder. "Want to join me for a drink?"

He shakes his head. "I don't drink."

"Not even water?" Corky quirks one side of his mouth.

The man chuckles. "I like you. I drink water, but does it stay in me? Where is that vessel outpoured?"

Corky laughs and gestures out the door. "Think you can close shop for a bit? I think we could become good friends in no time. I'll buy you some lunch."
Being the gun-fu guy that he is, how much money does he have?

He shakes his head and then goes below the counter. "I have a duty to my... customers. However..." Rummaging around, he pulls up two bottles onto the table as well as two shot glasses.

He looks at the bottle, a little surprised yet very thankful. He doesn't know the next time he'll have a job and make some money, so he's kind of glad he won't have to spend what he has. "I thought you said you don't drink alcohol. Unless that's some kind juice or soda, or..." He thinks about it for a moment, remebering how there are some rather unusual things in the room. He shrugs though. "If you can drink it, I guess I can too."

"Alcohol has many uses besides drinking, my friend." He pours from the one bottle. "Try the liquor first."
OOG: "Soda" would mean something very different in the Old West than now. Mostly, drinks are tonics, maybe malts, carbonated drinks like Italian sodas or egg creams (things with seltzer), elixirs, cocktails like the original Coca-Cola that contain things like cocaine and heroin, and alcoholic beverages.

Corky eyes the glass then picks it up. He tilts his head to the side, shrugging with his face, basically, raising his eyebrows suddenly then immediately putting them back down. He takes a sip and rolls it over his tongue.
(Ah, I see. By the way, how much would a gun-fu gunslinger like Corky have in terms of money?)

The alcohol is strong and tastes vaguely like... boiled socks. The man laughs. "Sipping from a shotglass is like chopping up candy."
