Note: This thread is for Cory's new group and Feickert's characters.
Last we left off: The group was in Gongamnos, trying to prepare for an infiltration of the Xenosian Empire. So far, they were juggling:
*Mike and Bill's joining *Stopping a Shanghai of anti-Xenosian Gongamnons: Karen nearly died in the ensuing raid but timely intervention by Entram allowed seven people to be saved *Finding true anti-Xenosian allies who might be able to guide them through Xenosian territory *Getting supplies *Speaking to the local Dark Eldritch for assistance *Hiring mercenaries

Alita, Mickey and Zechs went to the top of the city to be at the Conservatory Park. As they sat down at a bench, they noticed two figures standing off in the distance, observing silently. The quiet majesty of the figures was transparent: One a white-skinned black-haired man with interesting scar patterns in his face and hair as if he had been dragged through rock wearing a black mask, and a smaller man with large green and yellow sleeves.

I will walk up to them and say! "Why are you here and watching us?"

The masked man chortles but remains silent. The one with the sleeves says, "We weren't watching you. Seems you were watching us." He moves his hand, and seemingly from nowhere comes an orb, apparently glass or some other clear substance. As he balances the orb over his hand, it cuts into a rose-like shape, which he hands to Alita.
OOG: In FB, it's a good idea to describe who is walking over and saying what.

OOG: It's good to have everyone talk at some point. Also, they weren't observing you in particular.. They were observing in general.
"Sorry, but there isn't that much to look at", says the masked one.
"DarkMask", the smaller one hisses. "What brings you here? We are Rangers."

OOG: It sounds like the glass rose guy is calling the man in the mask DarkMask, which would make some sense given the mask. You don't have a name unless you want to make one, you're just working for the Monolith since you guys are private agents.

Teknaro says, "Good luck with whatever you're doing!"
So, what do you do next? Get supplies? Look for allies or adventure? Or just head out?

It's only a few hours left, but yes, there are a whole variety of merchants seeking help. There is the mercenary place you were at earlier, and there is both a legal and an underground paper of classified ads.

lets get a legal job, unless there is simple stuff like take this to the other side of town then I am down.

The problem with most of the legal jobs is that they tend to take that long. Most people don't put an ad in the paper for "Find my little kitty". It's construction jobs, bodyguard positions for at least a few hours, etc.
Between the legal and illegal jobs, the ones that look interesting (pay, are within your skill set but not drastically below it, right time period, etc.) are:
*Take care of a new mutated rat and skunk infestation in the sewers *Investigate the ghosts in the swamp [wish ya could step sideways, don'tcha?] *Capture someone wanted by the Gongamnons (reading between the lines, it's pretty obviously a spy) *Kill one of the rival trade guilds' leaders (this is one corrupt trade guild hiring you against another)

All right. The classified ad is by necessity pretty short, but it tells you to check in with Guard Captain Kaleos.

Go find the guard captain Kaleos, he should be at home base of where ever they collect.

He's at the Guard Headquarters. It's a large, centrally placed institution. Though a bit bureaucratic and aloof, they are very open, service-oriented and fast. Waiting for Guard Captain Kaleos takes about fifteen minutes. He invites the group in and asks, "Would you like any nuts?" He points to a small glass container filled with various fresh nuts. His invitation is polite but straightforward and business-like.

"Ah", he says. He grabs a folder and hands it to them. "About three weeks ago, we began to have our normal scavengers in the sewers and streets become dangerous. Flies, skunks, raccoons, Maggottrout, rats, and so forth. They vary in size: Some are scarcely larger than ordinary rats, but some homeless have reported rats the size of wagons. The reports grow by the passing day. We believe that the infestation is clustered in three primary locations, indicating a possible contamination source or leadership figure." He hands you a map of the sewers. One spot in the center left, nearest where you guys came into the city, is marked, as is a spot somewhere halfway between the middle and the top right corner, and then one spot in the lower right corner. "The sewers are designed for rapid movement, so you can handle the job quickly, within a few hours if all goes well."

He nods and begins working on something else.
Any stocking up before you head out or just jumping right into it?
